Ottawa County Probate Court moving to Grand Haven

GRAND HAVEN — With the new Family Justice Center up and running, Ottawa County’s Probate Court is headed to Grand Haven.

The Family Division of the 20th Circuit Court is now housed in the Family Justice Center , located on the county’s Fillmore Complex, freeing up space in the Ottawa County Courthouse in Grand Haven.

The Probate Court — which typically handles matters of wills, estates and conservatorships — will move into the vacated space. The court has been located at 12120 Fillmore Street in West Olive, sharing a building with the county jail, since 1991. It closed Thursday, Sept. 19, to begin the move and will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 24, in Grand Haven.

Any hearings with Judge Mark Feyen scheduled after Sept. 23 will take place at the Ottawa County Courthouse in Grand Haven, according to a release. Feyen will hear cases in Courtroom 2A on the building’s second floor.
