GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies are investigating after two people were found dead in a home in Grand Haven Township Saturday morning.
Around 9 a.m., deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were sent to 178th Avenue near Comstock Street for a well-being check after “the caller made concerning comments and a possible gunshot was heard,” according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
Responding deputies secured the area and tried to make contact with anyone inside the home.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office Critical Response Team was called to the scene. The sheriff’s office said the team went into the home and found two people, a male and a female, dead.
The sheriff’s office said that there is no threat to the public.
The deaths remain under investigation.
