Exactly four weeks from Election Day, Democratic U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin and Republican former U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers will meet Tuesday night in Grand Rapids for a debate as they vie for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat .
The debate is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. and is being hosted by WOOD TV-8, the NBC affiliate station in Grand Rapids.
Polls in the race have shown Slotkin holding a narrow lead over Rogers. It’s the first of two scheduled debates, with the second debate slated for next Tuesday at WXYZ-TV Channel 7 in Detroit.
