GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — A new fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant is opening in Grandville.
Osmow’s is set to celebrate its grand opening on Thursday at 3082 44th St. SW near Ivanrest Avenue. It is offering a free chicken on the rox meal dish — its signature dish with marinated chicken served over rice and topped with its sauces — to the first 200 customers, along with other festivities like music and cake.
It’s the second Osmow’s for franchise owner Herman Grewal and his wife, Hina Grewal, who also own a location in Grand Rapids. First founded in Canada in 2001, the shawarma eatery now has around 190 locations across North America.
The Grewals first discovered Osmow’s while on a trip to Ontario. They ended up grabbing a meal there multiple times.
“It’s one of those things that you just kept going to again and again,” Herman Grewal said. “We just loved it, fell in love with the food. We got involved with the team, we love the branding, the marketing, the leadership and everything the brand has to offer.”
