BYRON CENTER, Mich. — A 43-year-old Holland woman was killed after the car she was in lost control on icy roads, hit a tree, and burst into flames. The accident happened around 10:40 p.m. Friday night on 100th Street west of Homerich Avenue. The car was heading west on 100th when it left the road and hit a tree. It quickly became engulfed inn flames. The driver, a 39-year-old woman from Holland was able to get out, but her passenger — 43-year-old Stephanie Deridder, also of Holland, was trapped and hurt.
