HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A new eatery in the Holland area is busy serving up hot dogs.
Following a soft launch — during which the team sold out in an hour and a half on one of its first days — D Dogs officially opened Feb. 3 at 12719 Riley St. off of US-31 in Holland Township.
“It’s been going really well. The community loves it that they have a new hot dog place,” Diya Claypool, who owns D Dogs with her husband Richard Claypool, said. “Lunches are super busy, great reception.”
D Dogs offers several types of hot dogs, including the eponymous D Dog with chili, cheese, onions and pickles, the Chicago Dog with onion, tomato, green relish, sport peppers and a pickle spear, and a German dog with pickle and kraut. Or customers can create their own hot dog.
