Michigan man to share $2M lottery winnings with family

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — A Southfield man is planning to help his family after winning $2 million from a $3 Powerball ticket.

74-year-old Ralph Davis bought his winning ticket at Sage Beer and Wine in Royal Oak. He said he buys his Powerball tickets at the same store each time. But the Jan. 18 Powerball drawing was anything but ordinary for Davis.

“The day after the drawing, my wife sat down to check the tickets,” Davis said. “When she said to me: ‘We won the lottery!’ I was thinking we’d won $50 or something. That’s when she said: ‘No, it’s $1 million times two!’”…
