The forecast from FOX 17 Meteorologist Kara James: Rain will change over to wet snow this evening and continue overnight as a low pressure system comes through. Additional snow showers and windy conditions continue tomorrow. A couple of inches of slushy snow may fall and stick on grassy areas and colder surfaces north of Grand Rapids, where there is a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for Oceana, Newaygo and Mecosta counties from 8 p.m. tonight to 8 a.m. Monday. Most locations will see a majority of the snow melt on contact as surface temperatures have warmed. Afternoon highs are expected in the mid/upper 30s tomorrow, but winds gusting to 35 mph will make it feel like the 20s, along with reducing visibility due to blowing snow. Tuesday through Thursday will be mainly sunny with gradually increasing temperatures. A warm up looks likely beginning Thursday as highs crack the 50 degree mark, with upper 50s and low 60s next weekend. That warmth will likely come with increased rain chances. Stay tuned to FOX 17 for latest forecast updates.
