Earlier this month, residents in Canton were ecstatic to get their taste buds on Raising Canes after the fast food company opened its second location in the state of Michigan. Well, ecstatic might be an understatement. People were lined up before the sun was up, and even after the doors opened, the line continued for hours. To say the opening was a success is an understatement.
In fact, despite this only being the second location in the state, Raising Cane’s was to quick to announce that Lansing and Detroit are only the beginning, and Raising Cane’s will soon spread all across the state, including Grand Rapids.

For Michiganders, Raising Cane’s might not sound familiar, but the chicken finger chain has been a hit in the South since it opened in 1996. In fact, 2024 was the best year on record for the chain after it opened 118 restaurants in one year.
