Indoor golf and entertainment center proposed for Grand Rapids course

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The city of Grand Rapids is considering a plan to build an indoor golf and entertainment venue at the Indian Trails Golf Course.

The proposal would keep the existing golf course, which is located at 28th Street SE and Kalamazoo Avenue SE, but would allow the site to be open year-round.

Joshua VanTimmeren was teeing off Wednesday morning. He welcomes a plan that would add an indoor golf simulator and covered bays at the driving range.

“I think it would be a really nice addition to the course and facility here. I think it would draw in a lot of people, because a ton of people want to play golf in the winter but it’s not really super accessible for them,” VanTimmeren said.
