If you live in Grand Rapids, you should consider yourself lucky because we have a beautiful city full of amazing green space.
From Meijer Gardens to our dozens of scenic parks, there is always something to see no matter what time of year it is. However, while walking in my neighborhood I came across what I thought might be the smallest park in the city. And if you don’t know it’s there, you could easily pass it every day and miss it.

Coming in at less than a half of an acre, Sundial Park at the corner of Cherry and College, is Grand Rapids’ smallest park.
And we’re pretty proud of this little patch of land. In fact, in 2023 when Spring Lake tried to open their own tiny park, GR Parks and Rec chimed in to let them know they would always be the OG small park creators in West Michigan…
