An intense ice storm paired with gusty winds has left more than 60,000 homes and businesses without power in Northern Michigan – and more severe weather is on the way for Sunday into Monday for this already hard-hit area.
Freezing rain and sleet have caused ice accumulations that have downed power lines and sent tree limbs and large parts of trees falling across roads and into yards. At least a couple homes have also been hit by falling trees, according to authorities and the National Weather Service.
