The Green Well launches brunch with take on Anthony Bourdain’s favorite sandwich

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — The Green Well has launched weekend brunch, and fans of late celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain may find a welcome sight on the menu.

Anthony Bourdain’s Fried Mortadella Sandwich features mortadella piled atop a sourdough roll with Dijon aioli, provolone cheese, and a fried egg. Mortadella is a type of cold cut similar to bologna but with what the Food Network says is “more nuanced, richer flavor.”

Bourdain, who died in 2018, is widely reported to have been a big fan of fried mortadella sandwiches, calling them a “beloved heap of oozing awesomeness” in his 2016 cookbook “Appetites: A Cookbook.”…
