At 10:07 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, the National Weather Service released an updated winter weather advisory valid for Wednesday between 2 a.m. EDT and 10 a.m. EDT for Midland, Bay, Huron, Saginaw, Tuscola and Sanilac counties.
“Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up to two inches and ice accumulations up to a tenth inch. Wind gusting to 35 mph after sunrise,” explains the weather service. “Snow and ice accumulations will rapidly melt-off during the afternoon and early evening hours, prior to late day thunderstorm activity.”…
