A tragic incident unfolded in Alpine Township on Tuesday afternoon when a two-vehicle collision claimed the life of a 65-year-old woman and left others injured, as per the Kent County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to the crash site at the junction of 6 Mile Road NW and Bristol Avenue NW at approximately 3:52 p.m., according to reports from FOX 17.
The accident involved an SUV, operated by a 55-year-old Comstock Park man, who was in the midst of a turn onto 6 Mile Road NW when an eastbound sedan was struck, subsequently causing the SUV to roll and forcing the sedan off the road into an adjacent field, as reported by WWMT. The collision resulted in the air evacuation of the woman from Coopersville, who later succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
