Two Hospitalized After Rollover Crash in Ottawa County, Teen Driver Fails to Stop at Sign

Two individuals sustained serious injuries in a rollover collision in Jamestown Township, Ottawa County, as reported by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred around 5:50 p.m. on Saturday at the juncture of Adams Street and 40th Avenue, detailed WZZM 13. Responding to the scene were deputies, paramedics, and the Jamestown Township Fire Department who discovered the aftermath of a Subaru and a Jeep Liberty crash.

A 17-year-old male from Jenison, driving the Subaru northbound on 40th Avenue, did not stop at the intersection’s stop sign, colliding with the Jeep Liberty. The Jeep, travelling westbound on Adams Street and driven by a 31-year-old woman from Grand Rapids, rolled several times following the impact, according to MLive. The driver of the Subaru was unharmed in the altercation.

The sheriffs’ office confirmed that the Grand Rapids woman and her 67-year-old passenger from Oxford, Connecticut, required hospitalization for their serious injuries.
