Nonprofit raising $12M to convert Kent County churches to housing

A local faith-based nonprofit housing developer is launching an initiative to turn unused church-owned real estate across Kent County into much-needed affordable housing as church membership wanes.

Grand Rapids-based ICCF Community Homes today launched the public fundraising phase of its $12 million Building with Faith capital campaign, which has raised nearly $10 million to date. The funds will fuel ICCF’s goal to add 200 units of affordable for-sale and rental housing across Kent County during the next two to five years.
