Grandville PD: Child, mom hospitalized after sedan trapped under trucks

GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — Bystanders pulled a child from a car that was rear-ended and then trapped under two pickup trucks, police say.

It happened at the intersection of 28th Street and Ottawa Avenue in Grandville around 4:55 p.m. Friday. The Grandville Police Department said in a release that the initial report officers got was of two trucks on top of each other and an injured child.

Police say a westbound pickup truck failed to stop for traffic lined up at a red light and rear-ended a sedan. The sedan was shoved forward under another pickup in front of it. The pickup that hit the back of the car came to a rest on top of it, the release said…
