Grand Rapids prepares for ‘No Kings’ rally with up to 15,000 expected

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Demonstrators are expected to gather in downtown Grand Rapids on Saturday as part of the nationwide “No Kings” movement. The Grand Rapids Police Department said it’s preparing for large crowds and plans to keep both demonstrators and the public safe.

Organizers are calling on the public to respond to President Donald Trump’s actions by peacefully mobilizing on the same day as the president’s military parade.
