The forecast from FOX 17 Weather Ready Meteorologist Reece Cole: A HEAT ADVISORY remains in effect for our southern counties of Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph, and Branch from noon until 8 P.M.. Heat indices will reach the upper 90s. Pop-up showers and storms are still relevant today along the frontal boundary, but most will stay along and south of I-94. Overnight, watch for a few showers in the Grand Rapids and Muskegon area with heavy downpours possible. Friday, a cold front and low pressure will slide through, sweeping the last of showers and storms in the area out until Sunday night. Sunday will have highs near 90, but feeling like the mid 90s with the humidity. Early indications show a warm but potentially stormy 4th of July.
