“The Fourth of July is the number one holiday we got phone calls about lost pets,” Dr. Lexi De Nike, an associate veterinarian at Family Friends Veterinary Hospital near Grand Rapids, said.
Loud noises and bright lights can be extreme stressors for pets, increasing the odds of runaway dogs and cats over the holiday weekend.
