GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids’ iconic Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park welcomed its 16 millionth guest on Tuesday.
Visitors lined up early Tuesday morning to see who the 16 millionth visitor would be.

The 16 millionth guest turned out to be Amy Smith from Muskegon, who was unaware the park was set to surpass the significant milestone.
“I was a little curious why he was counting the number of visitors…We looked at the line down here and it seemed to be long, and so we decided to go back to the kiosk. But it really wasn’t the line apparently,” said Amy Smith, the 16 millionth visitor.
