DETROIT (WOOD-AM) – Gov. Gretchen Whitmer says $144 million in medical debt is being forgiven for more than 200,000 Michigan residents.
“Here in Michigan, we believe that being sick or getting hurt shouldn’t have to mean going broke,” Whitmer said. “That’s why I’m really proud of the work of our administration has done to address medical debt and to support the financial and physical health of people across our state.”
