The National Weather Service issued a report at 5:14 p.m. EDT on Saturday for strong thunderstorms until 6 p.m. EDT for Ottawa and Kent counties.
Residents may experience wind gusts of up to 50 mph.
“At 5:14 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm near Walker, or 8 miles northwest of Grand Rapids, moving northeast at 15 mph,” according to the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.”…
