We’ve entered the phase this week where we will see our daytime high temperatures increase by a handful of degrees each day. Today will reach the mid-80s in most places across Michigan, while Wednesday steps into the 90s and Thursday – our hottest day in the forecast – will also top 90 degrees.
But because of the humidity that is also building into our forecast this week, Thursday’s 90+ will feel a lot hotter. How hot? Try 104 degrees in some parts of the state. Maybe even higher in big urban areas like Detroit and Grand Rapids where fewer trees and heat retained by big buildings pushes up that index.
