GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The state has approved close to $80 million in funding for three Kent County housing projects.
The Michigan State Housing Development Authority Board on Tuesday announced it had approved the funding for the housing projects, aimed at creating or preserving housing units across the county.

“Expanding our housing stock while supporting the needs of Michigan’s residents is central to our mission,” MSHDA CEO and Executive Director Amy Hovey said in a release. “These approvals reflect the real progress we’re making to create stronger communities across the state.”
The board approved $39 million for HōM Flats in Wyoming. That project is building 200 units at 1401 Prairie Parkway near the intersection of 28th Street and Burlingame Avenue, including 12 accessible units. It is aimed at households making between 40% to 70% the area median income…
