BISSELL Pet Foundation helping dozens of rescued Schnauzers find new homes in Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Dozens of dogs who were recently rescued from a puppy mill landed in Grand Rapids on Tuesday, and will soon be heading to their new homes.

A total of 165 Schnauzers were rescued by the National Dog Mill Rescue at a large-scale breeding situation out of state. The dogs were found in “heartbreaking” conditions, with the dogs described as “matted, shut down, and barely recognizable.”

The BISSELL Pet Foundation, which is based in Grand Rapids, was brought in to organize transportation for 50 of those dogs. They were sent to trusted animal shelters and rescues in Michigan and Wisconsin…
