Michigan Woman Sues Monster Energy Over Dead Mouse

Well, this is horrible if true: A woman from Grand Rapids, Michigan, is taking Monster Energy to court because she claims her drink came with unwanted extra protein—in the form of a dead rodent at the bottom of the can. Aside from the obvious, this is especially alarming as I start each day with the life-giving liquid that contains 160 mg of caffeine and some taurine—and hopefully, no dead animals.

The Detroit News reports McKenzie Cain bought her Monster at a bagel shop in Grand Rapids in April of 2024. She said it felt ‘a little heavy,’ but didn’t give it much thought until she polished off her drink and BOOM—dead mouse.
