Meth-addled mail thief gets prison for stolen checks

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A homeless meth addict found sleeping in a stolen car amid stacks of mail that didn’t belong to him is heading to federal prison for possession of stolen mail.

Among the loot found scattered in the car: a Kent County Road Commission check for more than $230,000.
