GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — If you’ve walked down Front Avenue underneath US-131 in Grand Rapids this week, you’ve probably noticed the dozens of artists hard at work on lifts, struggling against the heat and humidity to line the underpass with murals. It’s all a part of a creative festival happening on Saturday.
The Pleasant Peninsula Mural Festival kicks off at the Front Avenue underpass, transforming it into a massive outdoor gallery of murals featuring Michigan’s endangered species.
