Victim of deadly crash was driving Consumers Energy truck, deputies say

ZEELAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man who died after being thrown from a vehicle during a crash in Zeeland Township was driving a Consumers Energy truck, deputies say.

Around 7:30 p.m. Friday, the 43-year-old Blendon Township man was headed south on 88th Avenue in a Consumers Energy F-550 truck approaching Ransom Street, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. A 64-year-old Park Township woman was headed west on Ransom Street in a Toyota Corolla.

The two collided, throwing the man from the truck. He died at the scene, according to deputies.

The woman in the Toyota was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening…
