ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Every day, 22 veterans lose their lives to suicide. It’s an alarming number that one group is raising awareness for.
The group is called 92 for 22. The name comes from the group’s original walking route on the White Pine Trail from Grand Rapids to Cadillac — a distance the group walks to honor the lives of service men and women who struggle with PTSD and mental health.
Saturday marks the 8th annual 92 for 22 walk. This year, it has been moved to Allendale Community Park — offering a central location and plenty of shade. Participants can make this trek their own, walking or running as much or as little as they want…
