GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Glimpse of Africa is returning to Calder Plaza this upcoming weekend.
The festival is set for Saturday and Saturday and will provide a variety of cultural elements for people to enjoy.
“We’ll have some food, we’ll have some dances, some music,” said founder and CEO Fridah Kanini. “We’ll have kids, activities. We’ll have a flag parade showcasing all 54 countries of Africa, and then of course we’ll have activities where people can learn and know more about the new Americans that reside in West Michigan and Kent County.”…
