GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Planning Commission has approved a special use permit that will allow a homeless outreach group to move, which the group says will allow it to help more people but that some new neighbors are wary of.
Matthew’s House each day serves upwards of 80 people who are homeless. As the demand for its services has grown, the faith-based nonprofit says it has outgrown its current location at the intersection of Alpine Avenue NW and 7th Street.
