Grand Rapids man dies in fiery crash on M-6

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A driver was killed Wednesday after he crashed into a pole on M-6 and his car burst into flames, according to Michigan State Police (MSP).

The crash happened under the 60th Street overpass on M-6 just before 6 p.m.

The driver, a 63-year-old Grand Rapids man, had been driving westbound when he left the roadway and crashed into a pole. A bystander pulled the man from his car as it caught fire, MSP said…
