WALKER, Mich. — An 8-year-old Walker boy has advanced to the second round of a national mullet competition that raises money for wounded veterans.
Caylor Babcock has been growing his hair for two years and placed 27th in the first round of the competition. His mullet earned him the nickname “The Mick” — a tribute to his late grandfather who also sported the distinctive hairstyle.
“Caylor just happens to have the exact same style of hair. It’s thick, it’s long, and it’s kind of fun for him to have. It’s a cool reminder for me, kind of looking at him. I look at my dad all the time, at the same time, and he owns it,” said Caylor’s father, Matt Babcock…
