The famous, or should I say infamous, 6th Street Bridge of Grand Rapids. It is a bridge where, if you survive a crossing and your blood pressure finally comes down, you should get a medal for your excellent work.
Seriously, when looking at it before crossing, you say a prayer, hope it’s not a death trap of a river crossing, take a deep breath and go. Whew, you made it!
But, did you know that our very own 6th Street Bridge is one of the most important historic bridges in the entire state of Michigan?
And, did you know that the 6th Street Bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
