Modeling good behavior for kids and teens during school

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (ABC 4) — With kids nearing the end of their first month back to school, Wedgwood Christian Services offers tips on modeling positive behavior at home.

“It’s really important for parents to model the behavior they want to see in their kids,” Nicholas Bayer, associate director of community services at Wedgwood Christian Services, said. “Sometimes, it’s as simple as maintaining composure during stressful situations.”

For some kids, adjusting back into the school year can take several weeks or even months. Along with uncertainty in the fall, students may also encounter illicit and risky behaviors…
