GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Grand Rapids will once again be transformed with sculptures, paintings, and immersive, interactive exhibits when ArtPrize, the annual international art competition that launched in 2009, kicks off Thursday.
This year’s event, which runs from Sept. 18 to Oct. 4, promises to include what fans have come to expect from ArtPrize: scores of entries scattered throughout downtown, from parks and museums to breweries, restaurants, hotels and more.
And in trademark fashion, visitors can vote for their favorite entry, with the winner set to take home a $100,000 grand prize…
