GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Two West Michigan mental health services are merging this fall.
Behavioral Resources And Institute for Neuropsychological Services, also known as BRAINS, will be integrated into Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services on Oct. 27. Pine Rest CEO and President Mark Eastburg said the partnership will help strengthen specialized services like assessment, counseling and applied behavior analysis therapy.

BRAINS, which has operated in West Michigan for nearly 20 years, will keep part of its name as “BRAINS, A Service of Pine Rest” and continue operations out of its office on East Beltline Avenue near 3 Mile Road in Grand Rapids Township.
