GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week on “To The Point,” we continue to examine the prospects of getting a new budget for the state by the deadline of Oct. 1.
State Rep. Julie Rogers, D-Kalamazoo of the appropriations committee said there are several things to consider with the deadline looming.
“I’m an all of the above kind of approach; I think we can move the chairs around and move the amount of money around,” she said. “I also think that we’ve gotta look at revenue so there’s a lot of different Democrats that have said you know maybe there’s different pieces of this road funding. You know, the gas tax has been wildly unpopular in the past when it’s been pulled but look at other things. What are we looking at for our state fees for our registration? You know some people are in favor of tolls right?”…
