GRPD: Officers shoot, injure man after he charged them with knife

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say two officers shot a man who charged at them with a knife during a call for a “domestic incident” on the West Side of Grand Rapids Thursday.

Around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, the Grand Rapids Police Department received a 911 call reporting a family member armed with a knife inside a home on Broadway Avenue between 3rd and 4th Street, according to GRPD Chief Eric Winstrom. At least four officers responded.
