SHERIFF: Man, 85, dies after mobile home fire in Alpine Township

ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — An 85-year-old man has died after the mobile home he was in caught fire early Wednesday morning in Alpine Township, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO).

Firefighters removed Stanley Vandenboss from the burning residence, located on Mount Hood Street NW within the Alpine Meadows Mobile Home Park, and was then taken to the hospital.

Vandenboss was initially reported to be in critical condition, however, the sheriff’s office said he died Thursday.
