Large Crowds Turned Out For “No Kings” Protests

(Washington, DC) – Millions of Americans reportedly showed up for Saturday’s “No Kings” rallies held in cities across the U.S. Protesters across the nation took to the streets, holding up signs against authoritarianism, immigration raids, troops being deployed in U.S. cities, government layoffs and the state of the economy. The protests were mostly peaceful, though there were reports of several arrests at protests in Denver and Chicago. Late Saturday night, police in Los Angeles had to use tear gas on a crowd of protesters downtown who would not disperse.
