Feds: Man faces charges related to possession of Molotov cocktails

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man arrested with four Molotov cocktails Thursday is now facing federal charges.

James Steven Cleland was arrested by in Kent County by Michigan State Police officers who initially pulled him over for driving an unregistered vehicle, according to a federal criminal complaint. When officers searched the car, they found four Molotov cocktails, which are homemade explosive devices made from a glass container filled with flammable substances, the complaint says.

MSP then arrested Cleland on charges of preparation to burn property. He is now facing federal charges…
