IRONS — A Kent County Sheriff’s Office K9 that went missing Friday morning has been found safe.
K9 Soka was located about 4.5 miles from where he got loose from his handler in Irons, according to the sheriff’s office. A local resident spotted the dog, who appeared healthy except for a few porcupine quills. He will be taken to a veterinarian for evaluation.
The sheriff’s office credited the help of residents and multiple agencies in the search, including the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Manistee County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Grand Rapids Fire Department, and Grand Rapids Police Department…
