GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Local health care providers and police are holding events Saturday for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
Law enforcement departments, hospitals and doctors offices across the country will be accepting expired, unwanted and unneeded prescriptions medications with no questions asked.
Here are some local sites participating in take back day. Most locations will be open from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m.

- Kent County Health Department | 700 Fuller Ave. NE, Grand Rapids
- Kentwood Police Dept. | 4742 Walma Ave. SE, Kentwood
- Mid-Michigan District Health Department | 615 N State Road, Stanton
- Priority Health | 3111 Leonard Street NE, Grand Rapids
The Drug Enforcement Administration promotes national take back days twice a year in April and October. In April, Michiganders gave back more than 16,500 pounds of prescription drugs, according to the DEA.
