GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (ABC 4) — At John Ball Zoo, guests can enjoy seeing babies Hugo and Juniper out in their habitat enclosures before the zoo closes in the next couple weeks.
“We close before the end of November,” Nick Milbratz, staff member at John Ball Zoo, said. “Right before Thanksgiving.”
At the pygmy hippo exhibit, mother Penelope and her new baby boy, Hugo, are getting used to each other’s company in the outdoor enclosure.
“He’s a little sassy,” Milbratz said. “He’s a little shy, too. He likes to stay by mom.”…
