WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) — Crews responded to a two-alarm fire at a shredding facility in Walker Friday morning.
The fire broke out around 7:05 a.m. at the 220,000-square-foot building on Waldorf Street NW near Bristol Avenue NW, Walker Fire Chief Rusty Shoultz told News 8.
When crews arrived on scene, they found a shredding unit on fire.
The employees were able to evacuate on their own, according to the fire chief. No injuries were immediately reported.
