GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 22, 2025) – A 20-year-old man may consider himself fortunate to escape with non-life threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Jenison on Saturday evening.
That’s because the unnamed man from a hometown not disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Travis Wheaton was not buckled up when his SUV, heading south on Cottonwood Drive around 6:45 PM, attempted to go through the junction at Chicago Drive (M-121) on a green light when it was broadsided by a westbound SUV that drove through a red light. The force of the collision caused the unbuckled motorist to be thrown from his vehicle.
The injured man was taken to an unnamed “area hospital” for treatment, while the apparent at-fault driver, a 16-year-old Hudsonville youth, as well as a 20-year-old Hudsonville man as his passenger, were wearing seatbelts at the time and escaped injury…
